Water is essential for life, but what if the only sources you have access to are contaminated? And while the Earth produces enough food to feed everyone, some corners of the planet remain hungry. One in nine people in the world are suffering from chronic malnutrition. Women, children, indigenous people, and other minorities are the most susceptible to hunger.
Here's how you can make an impact:
- $5 provides enough cooking gas to feed a family of four in Africa for two weeks.
- $85 provides one week of groceries for a four-person family in a metropolitan area.
- $185 can be used to develop a productive home garden for 10 Colombian families, providing year-round access to diverse, nutritious food.
Get involved! Does your family volunteer at a local soup kitchen or participate in a can drive? Share some tips for others who want to get involved in helping the undernourished in their community and around the world. And remember to #ShowSomeLoveCFC!
