Principal Combined Fund Organization (PCFO)Global Impact Manages CFCNCA for Eighth YearThe LFCC for the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA) selected Global Impact as the Principal Combined Fund Organization (PCFO) to administer the CFCNCA for the 2010 campaign, for the eighth consecutive year. Global Impact is a 501(c)(3) non-profit federated group selected by and under the control of the Local Federal Coordinating Committee (LFCC) and the director of the Office of Personnel Management. Global Impact raises funds to address critical needs throughout the world. Since 1956, Global Impact has generated more than $1.2 billion for thousands of charitable organizations to assure help for people and communities in need. In addition to supporting international relief and development programs, Global Impact strategically manages two of the world's largest workplace giving programs: the CFCNCA and the Combined Federal Campaign-Overseas (CFC-O). In 2009, the CFCNCA received pledges totaling $66.5 million, making it the largest campaign in the history of the CFC program. The CFC-O generated pledges of $15.6 million from uniformed and civilian DoD employees overseas. Global Impact is proud to hold the Charity Navigator Four-Star Rating and the Better Business Bureau Wise Giving Alliance Charity Seal. Annually, the LFCC volunteers seek applications from qualified nonprofit organizations and federations to manage the CFCNCA as required by regulations governing the campaign.
