Football Themed Event

Highlights:

• Employees allowed to dress down and wear football related jerseys, t-shirts and sweatshirts

Veterans Affairs kicked off their 2008 CFCNCA with a football-themed event featuring cheerleaders, a band, stadium food and an appearance by their "Head Coach"- the Secretary of Veterans Affairs James Peake. Led by a group of cheerleaders who chanted "C-F-C! C-F-C!", the crowd, many who were dressed in football jerseys, were energized and vocal throughout the event.

Assistant Secretary for Public and Intergovernmental Affairs Lisette Mondello, and the campaign's Vice Chair, acted as the Master of Ceremonies and was a catalyst for the enthusiasm that was generated at the kickoff.  This kickoff was a high energy event that not only engaged the audience, but led to a spirited campaign start.
