The patio in the United States Department of Agriculture's (USDA) Whitten Building was transformed into a county fair for USDA's Combined Federal Campaign rally. Sam the Fiddler provided the soundtrack to an event that truly put the fun back into fundraising.

Besides the music, the rally featured all the elements of an old fashioned country fair. From a corn-husking contest, to the professional count fair auctioneer, USDA employees came out in mass to have a great time and support the Combined Federal Campaign of the National Capital Area (CFCNCA).

The event was emceed by Undersecretary for Rural Development and Vice Chairman of USDA's CFC campaign Thomas Dorr and featured a wide variety of baked goods, ice cream and Cajun gumbo.

Some of the fundraising activities included a best and ugliest boot contest, a cake dance and an auction.
